Position Overview
The firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team. In this role, the engineer will be instrumental in advancing projects through different stages, from design to implementation. The engineer will collaborate with project architects, consulting engineers, and contractors, receiving guidance from project managers and team leads to tackle new challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and non-destructive testing techniques.
- Analyze structural components, materials, and their performance for restoration projects.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing assessment findings, analysis results, and recommended solutions.
- Create visual aids such as diagrams, sketches, and photographs to support project documentation.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, codes, standards, and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including architects and contractors.
- Attend client meetings to understand project requirements and communicate findings effectively.
- Pursue professional development and technical skill enhancement through training and mentoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kentucky.
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience in structural engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings comprehensively.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field.
