Job Description
Help open and expand an established firms presence into Ohio, developing new business whilst leveraging existing client relationships! We are looking for a motivated individual to set up and run a new regional office. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited about professional growth, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in establishing and managing the new regional office.
- Manage existing and develop new client relationships.
- Support building structure design projects with technical expertise.
- Develop structural engineering solutions that meet project objectives and design criteria.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with design team members.
- Produce accurate structural designs and prepare detailed drawings within budget and on schedule.
- Assist with project proposals, contract proposals, and business development efforts.
- Prepare engineering calculations and technical reports.
- Conduct field-related work, including structure condition inspections, site visits, and field inventories.
- Ensure adherence to quality control programs and safety standards.
- Review and certify engineering design documents and construction shop drawings.
- Handle external communications with consultants and clients.
Requirements
- Professional Registration: PE license required; SE license preferred but not mandatory.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis (M.S. Engineering preferred).
- Over 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience leading projects and managing project teams.
- Proficiency in designing structural steel, concrete, wood/timber, and masonry components and framing systems.
- Strong client relationship management skills and the ability to handle complex projects.
- Knowledge of IBC, AISC, and ACI Building Codes.
- Familiarity with industry practices, regulations, and current technology.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as RISA 3D, Tekla, Fastrak, TEDDS, IES Quick Suite, IES Visual Analysis, and Autodesk Revit.
