Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Systems Designer to focus on designing advanced telecommunications and low voltage building systems. This role involves integrating these systems into construction documents for new or renovated buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify low voltage systems (e.g., telecommunications, fire alarm, access control, CCTV).
- Develop detailed construction documents for contractors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept to project completion.
- Interact with clients to understand project needs and maintain communication.
- Research and apply relevant codes and standards.
- Select materials and equipment for design specifications.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for project consistency.
- Review product submittals and provide feedback.
- Conduct site surveys and generate project reports.
- Maintain organized project files and documents.
- Support continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or related field with 3-5 years of experience, or equivalent education and experience. Bachelor's degree in architectural or electrical engineering preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- RCDD certification preferred but not required.
