Position: Heavy Civil Project Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Salary: $85,000- $105,000+ Bonus(s)

Job Description:

As a Heavy Civil Project Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to plan, coordinate, and oversee large-scale civil construction projects. You will ensure the successful completion of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of project plans, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Coordinate daily activities on the job site, including monitoring project schedules, costs, and resources.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Provide technical support and advice to the project management team.

  • Facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.

  • Monitor construction progress and identify any potential issues or delays.

  • Review and process submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders.

  • Help prepare project documentation and progress reports for clients and senior management.

  • Assist with material procurement and quality control on the project site.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in heavy civil construction, including experience in roadways, utilities, and infrastructure projects.

  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction processes, and project management.

  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and MS Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.

  • Knowledge of local construction codes, regulations, and safety standards in Seattle and Washington State.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

  • PMP or EIT/PE certification is a plus, but not required.
