Business Development Manager - Southwest/West Region (Arizona)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Type: On-site, Full-time

Position Description: A leading provider of full-service turnkey communications solutions, electrical infrastructure design, and construction services is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Southwest and West markets. This role involves regional market and client expansion, developing and implementing plans to increase business with existing customers and capture new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Manage business development processes within assigned accounts, ensuring growth and profitability.
  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and contact potential customers for new business opportunities.
  • Relationship Building: Build positive relationships with existing customers for repeat business.
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor competitor products, pricing, weaknesses, and strengths to secure market positions.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Execute the company's sales plan and strategy to increase business opportunities.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain a database of potential new customers and opportunities.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain integrity and quality in all business-related operations and activities.
  • Presentations: Prepare and deliver business presentations to customers.
  • Proposal Management: Work with Project Managers on proposals and contracts for customers.
  • Customer Visits: Visit customers daily.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly business reporting and forecasting to management via CRM.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer to determine selling and marketing strategies.
  • Customer Service: Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries and complaints.
  • Travel: Travel required 50%.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience selling in a competitive construction market
  • Telecommunication infrastructure construction experience required
  • Data Center construction experience preferred
  • Strong relations with Carrier Operations divisions
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, Quick Base, etc.) and UcaaS
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and task-driven
  • Ability to work well across multiple functions and geographies

Compensation: To provide greater transparency to candidates, we include base pay ranges for all US-based job postings that encompass all potential locations and levels for the open position. Our base pay ranges are set based on the function, discipline, level, and regional location and are benchmarked against companies in the same or similar industry. Final offers may vary based on multiple factors, including education, depth and relevance of work experience, relevant licenses and certifications, and may vary from the amounts listed in the job posting.

Base Pay Range: $145,000 - $185,000 annually.
