About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage projects in the sub sea cable, power, grid, and transmission line sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and be fluent in both English and Japanese. This role requires a dynamic individual who can oversee complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including time lines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring adherence to project scope, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project delivery.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize your electrical engineering background to provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with global and Japanese electrical standards and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges.
Project Management:
- Implement project management best practices and methodologies to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and report on project status to senior management.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial accountability.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the sub sea cable, power, grid, or transmission line sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Experience working with both domestic and international stakeholders.
Skills:
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is mandatory.
