Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will take on a multifaceted role, working closely with the management team to oversee projects from design to completion. You will be responsible for managing a variety of land development projects, mentoring junior staff, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the growth of the firm. This role offers the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities while working on challenging and rewarding engineering projects in Anne Arundel County and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage civil engineering projects in residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal/county land development.
Oversee the design process for land development projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Guide and mentor junior engineers, helping to develop their skills and supporting their professional growth.
Collaborate with the management team to drive business development efforts, establish new connections, and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in target markets.
Analyze project needs and provide client-focused solutions, delivering effective and innovative engineering strategies.
Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.
Coordinate across offices and departments to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland.
A minimum of 7 years of increasingly responsible project management experience in civil engineering.
Experience in designing residential and commercial land development, as well as institutional and municipal/county government projects.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess project needs and develop practical, client-focused solutions.
Proficiency in AutoCAD® Civil 3D® and other relevant engineering software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and clients.
Proven experience in business development with the ability to build relationships with key influencers in the industry.
