Summary:
We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer to support land development projects from design through completion. This role involves technical design, project coordination, and collaboration with clients, municipalities, and internal teams. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, experience with site development, and proficiency in design software.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare civil engineering designs for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
Perform site layout and infrastructure planning in compliance with local regulations and design standards.
Conduct engineering calculations, modeling, and analysis to ensure project feasibility and efficiency.
Assist in preparing construction documents, including plans, reports, and specifications.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project goals are met.
Support permitting efforts by preparing submittals and responding to agency comments.
Collaborate with internal teams, including surveyors, planners, and CAD designers, to deliver high-quality designs.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical input to guide decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering design software.
Strong understanding of grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
