Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Department Manager to lead a team of civil engineers and drive the success of land development projects. This leadership role involves strategic planning, project oversight, team development, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil engineering, a proven track record in project execution, and the ability to foster a high-performing team.
Key Accountabilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a multi-year department growth plan, targeting revenue growth and client expansion.
Operational Excellence: Ensure the majority of projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards through efficient resource planning and process improvements.
Team Development: Foster a high-performing team by improving employee retention and creating clear career development paths.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction through innovative and tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the department to achieve operational goals and strategic initiatives.
Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and profitability.
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.
Manage budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure successful outcomes.
Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent to build a cohesive and motivated engineering team.
Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, encouraging creative problem-solving and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil land development, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of managing complex projects with measurable success.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
