Water Infrastructure Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water Infrastructure Project Manager to join our client's team in Arlington County, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead water infrastructure projects focused on planning, design, and the implementation of critical water and wastewater systems.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of water infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations while meeting client needs and managing project timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead water infrastructure projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and municipal authorities.
Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Oversee the preparation and review of technical documents, such as plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permitting, and environmental considerations.
Develop strategies to optimize project delivery, ensuring cost efficiency and quality management.
Foster effective communication and coordination among internal teams, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Identify and manage project-related risks while identifying opportunities for project improvement.
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and internal management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience managing water infrastructure projects, with a focus on water and wastewater systems.
Solid understanding of water system design, construction, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in managing project schedules, budgets, and teams.
Strong skills in preparing technical documents, including specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Knowledge of local regulations, permitting processes, and environmental considerations in water infrastructure projects.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within the state of Virginia.
Familiarity with water infrastructure projects in Arlington County or the surrounding metropolitan area.
Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
