Position Summary:
As a Water Resources Project Manager, you will lead complex water and wastewater projects, guiding teams through the planning, design, and implementation phases. This role involves managing resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery, as well as fostering client relationships and maintaining a commitment to quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, oversee, and execute water resources projects, including stormwater, wastewater, flood control, and water treatment infrastructure.
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance on project scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables.
- Technical Oversight: Review and ensure the quality of engineering designs, reports, calculations, and specifications; maintain adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, providing updates, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Budgeting and Scheduling: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Permitting and Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to address technical, financial, and operational challenges.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in water resources, wastewater, or related engineering fields.
- Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, water quality, and environmental compliance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS) and project management tools.
