We have a current opportunity for a Protection/Relay Settings Engineer on a permanent basis. Ideally we are looking for someone to join our Substation Protection Department where your day to day responsibilities will involve electrical studies, protective relay settings and various design activities
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed electrical studies and develop protective relay settings for power system equipment in substations
- Ensure the reliability, safety and compliance of the power system by conducting various electrical analyses (ie: load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, coordination studies, etc...)
- Collaborate with project teams, clients and regulatory bodies to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
- Coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules, budget, quality requirements to ensure successful project completion
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 3 to 8 years of engineering experience in the electric utility or utility consulting industries
- Working knowledge of power system analysis tools (ETAP)
- Relay setting software (AcSELerator)
- AutoCAD Electrical Experience
- ArcGIS experience (preferred)
