The HSE Manager for the offshore wind project in Taiwan is responsible for leading health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives to ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards. This role is pivotal in promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across all project phases, from planning and construction to operation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the HSE management system in line with company policies, local regulations, and international best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead the development of HSE training programs for all personnel, ensuring comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, managing waste disposal, emissions, and resource conservation efforts.
- Facilitate incident investigations, analyzing root causes and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders regarding HSE matters.
- Participate in project meetings and provide HSE insights to enhance project decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to health, safety, and environmental management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HSE management experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably within offshore wind projects.
- Class A HSE certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and international safety standards.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on risk management.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred.
