We are hiring a General Superintendent to lead road, bridge, and highway construction projects in Virginia Beach. You will manage crews, oversee daily site operations, ensure safety, and keep projects on schedule and within budget. We need someone with strong leadership skills and a proven background in heavy civil construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site
- Manage crews, subcontractors, and equipment
- Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with plans and specs
- Maintain project schedules and deadlines
- Work with project managers to track budgets and resources
- Solve problems that come up on the job site
Qualifications
- 5+ years in road, bridge, or highway construction (5+ years as a supervisor)
- Strong understanding of VDOT standards and highway construction
- Experience managing large civil projects
- Familiarity with construction scheduling and management software
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
