My client is seeking a talented Acoustic Consultant to join their team, based location in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance on a wide range of acoustic-related projects and managing complex assignments from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of acoustic-related projects.
- Manage complex projects from start to finish, including developing project scopes, overseeing project timelines and budgets, conducting site visits, and delivering high-quality reports.
- Conduct noise and vibration assessments, including environmental impact assessments, transportation noise studies, and building acoustics assessments.
- Perform field measurements and data analysis using specialized equipment and software.
- Offer technical support to clients and colleagues on acoustic-related issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in acoustic-related technology and techniques.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in acoustics consulting, with a focus on noise and vibration assessments, environmental impact assessments, and building acoustics assessments.
- Strong technical knowledge of acoustics, including the principles of sound and vibration, noise and vibration measurement techniques, and specialized acoustic-related software and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex acoustic-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior staff.
- A track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
