Water/Wastewater Technical Project Lead
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the design and execution of water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection projects.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop and review engineering reports, technical specifications, and construction documents.
Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to define project scope, schedules, and budgets.
Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure quality assurance and adherence to project specifications.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in water and wastewater engineering.
Participate in business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Arizona PE preferred or ability to obtain).
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including project leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes, pump stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
Experience with hydraulic modeling, regulatory permitting, and environmental compliance.
Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also managing independent tasks.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal water/wastewater regulations.
