Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in managing complex water/wastewater infrastructure design, permitting, and construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on both client development and project management within a growing market. You will lead project teams, mentor junior staff, and oversee large-scale projects while contributing to the company's long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead water/wastewater design, permitting, and construction services from early concept development through project completion.
Mentor and guide project teams, coordinating and reviewing project assignments to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with technical specialists and project team members to provide comprehensive engineering solutions.
Assist in the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and technical reports for large, multi-disciplinary design projects.
Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed within scope and on time.
Provide high-level planning and program analysis, including the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in water/wastewater services.
Contribute to business development by assisting with strategic planning, marketing, and business operations.
Partner with sales teams to prepare proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
Maintain strong client relationships, interfacing with clients and government officials to clarify technical issues and provide project updates to upper management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.
10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
Professional engineering (PE) license.
Ability to travel domestically as needed (approx. 10% travel).
Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience managing water/wastewater infrastructure design projects in the Midwest.
Knowledge of alternative project delivery methods.
