Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership:

    • Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
    • Perform complex geotechnical analyses and design, including foundation design, slope stability, and soil-structure interaction.
    • Oversee site investigations, including soil sampling, testing, and analysis.
    • Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Project Management:

    • Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
    • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
    • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the geotechnical engineering sector.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and regulatory agencies.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to secure new projects.
    • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and business plans.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
    • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Strong technical expertise in geotechnical analysis, design, and project management.
  • Proven experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools.
