Job Overview
An established company in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its team. This full-time role involves overseeing engineering tasks, providing technical guidance, and ensuring project designs meet regulatory and industry standards. The position requires expertise in site development, erosion control, grading, drainage, and road design, as well as collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments and manage engineering subconsultants.
- Oversee engineering teams and delegate tasks effectively.
- Develop and review AutoCAD Civil 3D design drawings.
- Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and energy modeling.
- Procure equipment and research new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with stormwater management, grading, and erosion control standards.
- Provide technical oversight and final design approvals.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful project execution.
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel for local, national, and occasional international projects.
- Must have a valid passport or be eligible to obtain one.
Professional Development

Qualifications
Required:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control
- Strong knowledge of energy, solar, and battery storage systems
- Ability to review geotechnical reports and manage engineering teams
- Familiarity with construction drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering modeling software
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Preferred:
- NABCEP certification in PV Installation
- Familiarity with NFPA National Electrical Code
- OSHA-10 certification
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (or 10+ years of industry experience)
- Ongoing education in solar technologies and energy-related fields
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $110,000 - $140,000
