Position: Lead Hydrogeologist
Location: Florida
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage water resources projects and groundwater systems, including brackish groundwater supply, Aquifer Storage Recovery (ASR), indirect potable reuse systems, and Class I Injection Wells.
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines and teams during design and construction phases.
- Prepare and oversee technical reports, letters, memoranda, drawings, specifications, and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and practices in all documentation.
- Develop technical scopes of work for drilling, sampling, and aquifer and geophysical testing.
- Contribute to knowledge management by developing technical documentation and white papers.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, industry professionals, and regulatory agencies; participate in professional organizations and present at industry events.
- Work with sales teams to create proposals in response to client requests.
- Serve as the primary contact for external clients and industry partners.
- Support project teams by interpreting technical and regulatory issues, assisting with project scoping and budgeting, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff; mentor and develop junior staff for future growth. May supervise junior staff on projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Geologist certification.
- 10 years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
- Equivalent additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in groundwater engineering, including municipal groundwater supply systems.
- Ability to work on various groundwater systems, including brackish groundwater supply, ASR, indirect potable reuse systems, and Class I injection wells.
- Experience with active drilling fieldwork.
- Experience working with technical teams on master planning and detailed design of groundwater systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory approval and permitting for groundwater systems.
- Knowledge of corrosion-resistant materials, downhole control valves, recharge control systems, and booster pump stations.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of scientific methods and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 20% travel required
Salary: 110-140k based on experience
