Known for delivering innovative solutions on complex projects across the Mid-Atlantic, they are looking for a strategic leader with a strong background in land development to help shape the future of their Fairfax operations.

About the Role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a senior-level civil engineer who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced environment. As Associate Director, you'll oversee a portfolio of large-scale land development projects-ranging from residential subdivisions to mixed-use and commercial developments. You'll also mentor internal teams, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the long-term strategic growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of land development projects from concept through construction.
Manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of service, responsiveness, and technical excellence.
Guide and support staff development, mentoring junior engineers and project managers.
Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with all local, county, and state regulations, particularly in Northern Virginia.
Collaborate with the executive team on business development initiatives and strategic planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license required.
15+ years of experience in site/civil engineering and land development.
Deep understanding of Northern Virginia markets and permitting processes (Fairfax County experience preferred).
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record in client management and project delivery.
Business development experience is a strong plus.
