An established, multidisciplinary design and engineering firm with a strong regional presence is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead civil engineering projects out of its growing Rio Rancho office. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on project delivery, team development, and client growth in one of New Mexico's most dynamic markets.
About the Role
As Senior PM, you will be responsible for overseeing complex site development and municipal infrastructure projects from start to finish. You'll work across teams to ensure technical quality, build and maintain client relationships, and help shape the strategic growth of the office. This is an ideal role for someone who is both technically strong and business-minded, with a passion for mentoring and local impact.
What You'll Do
Manage site development, grading, drainage, utilities, roadway, and public works projects
Lead multidisciplinary project teams from concept through construction administration
Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and public agencies
Oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing, and quality assurance
Develop new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships
Mentor junior engineers and EITs, and contribute to the overall success of the team
Collaborate with leadership on office growth strategy and operational improvements
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering
Licensed P.E. in New Mexico
12+ years of experience in civil engineering with strong project management experience
Knowledge of regional entitlement processes, codes, and agency relationships in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area
Strong business development, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient in Civil 3D and project management tools
A client-first mindset with a proven ability to win work and manage teams
