Job Description: Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bridge Inspector to join the team in Lexington, KY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience in bridge inspection and assessment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of bridges and related structures to assess their condition and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting the findings of inspections, including any necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop maintenance and repair plans.
- Utilize various tools and technologies to perform inspections, including drones, cameras, and software applications.
- Ensure all inspections are conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bridge inspection or a related field.
- Certification as a Bridge Safety Inspector (BSI) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bridge construction, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
