Water/Wastewater Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join their team in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Civil Engineer with extensive experience in sewer pipeline practices and hydraulic modeling. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the engineering analysis of complex sewer pipeline condition assessments, contributing to the design and optimization of water/wastewater systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering analysis and condition assessments of sewer pipeline systems.

  • Apply hydraulic modeling and transient pressure analysis to evaluate pipe networks.

  • Utilize proficiency in hydraulic principles such as friction head loss, pipe roughness, energy, hydraulic grade lines, and system equations to support project success.

  • Develop solutions and ensure that engineering practices meet high standards for quality and compliance.

  • Use InfoWorks software for hydraulic modeling and analysis.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and timely project outcomes.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and project stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and effective project management.

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet client expectations and project goals.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.

  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

  • 5-10 years of experience in sewer pipeline practices and engineering.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland and District of Columbia or the ability to obtain licensure via reciprocity within six months.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in hydraulic modeling and transient pressure analysis.

  • Proficient in hydraulic principles and concepts, including friction head loss, pipe roughness, energy, and hydraulic grade lines.

  • Hands-on experience with InfoWorks or similar hydraulic modeling software.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

  • Previous experience managing water/wastewater projects from start to finish.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for water/wastewater infrastructure.
