We are looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer to join our team as a Technical Lead. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with 12+ years of experience who thrives on tackling complex challenges and leading multidisciplinary teams to success.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
- Serve as the technical lead on large-scale water and wastewater conveyance projects.
- Provide expert guidance in the design and engineering of pipelines, pump stations, tunnels, and other conveyance systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and best practices.
Project Delivery:
- Oversee all phases of project delivery, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed design, and construction support.
- Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews to ensure technical excellence.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to identify project goals and align technical solutions with their needs.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and high-quality deliverables.
Team Development:
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Business Development Support:
- Assist in developing proposals and presentations for new project opportunities.
- Provide technical input for marketing and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in water and wastewater conveyance engineering.
- Proven expertise in "outside-the-fence" infrastructure, including pipelines, pump stations, and tunnels.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic modeling, pipeline materials, trenchless technologies, and pump station design.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling software).
