Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Water Resources Planner Discipline Lead to join our team. This role involves collaborating with local water professionals to develop and implement innovative business strategies, identifying and leading key regional pursuits, and managing large multidisciplinary projects in water resource planning efforts, including Urban Water Management Plans and water supply planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead water resource planning efforts, including Urban Water Management Plans and water supply planning (e.g., stormwater recovery, water reuse, groundwater, and imported water).
- Conduct potable and recycled water distribution system modeling, as well as wastewater collection system modeling.
- Utilize modeling software such as Bentley (e.g., WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, SewerCAD), Aquanuity, and Innovyze (e.g., InfoWater, InfoWorks).
- Develop water and wastewater master plans.
- Collaborate with leadership and operations teams to develop and execute innovative business strategies.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to achieve project objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to deliver innovative solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance and insights to address complex water resource challenges.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation.
- Serve as Project Manager, Client Manager, or Project Director, depending on assignment requirements.
- Provide training, mentoring, and support in recruiting efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in water resource planning.
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
