Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000

What You'll Do
As a Water Rights Engineer, you'll manage or assist with diverse water resource projects, providing technical expertise and project oversight. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project Management: Oversee tasks, budgets, and client relationships while ensuring quality control.
- Water Court Support: Provide technical expertise for Water Court applications.
- Hydrologic Studies: Conduct water supply planning, stream depletion analyses, and water rights yield investigations.
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Develop water budget models for discrete systems and river basin modeling.
- Problem-Solving: Assist clients in identifying, understanding, and solving complex water resource challenges.
- Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, water users, administrators, and colleagues to achieve project goals.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare scopes of work, technical reports, and expert disclosure reports.
- Expert Testimony: Provide expert testimony in Water Court and support litigation efforts.
- Client Development: Foster relationships that lead to new and repeat clients.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or higher degree in civil engineering, hydrology, geology, watershed science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in water rights and water resource engineering
- Strong skills in interpreting water right decrees, administration guidelines, and water use data.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects and staff effectively.
- Professional Engineer license
- A positive attitude, problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills.
