Job Title: Structural Department Lead (Remote)
Location: Remote within the region of the Southeast, with in-office presence once a month (preferred).

Position Overview:
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to establish and lead the firm's structural department. Initially working as the sole structural engineer, the selected candidate will have the autonomy to shape the department, hire additional team members, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support commercial, educational, municipal, and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the structural department, including project management, structural design, and department growth.
- Provide structural engineering expertise for projects, primarily commercial, educational, municipal, and some residential.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs into broader project goals.
- Hire, mentor, and manage structural engineers as the department grows.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, obtaining necessary PE or SE licenses in applicable states (Louisiana and others).
- Travel to the office once a month
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience (15+ years preferred), with a strong background in commercial, educational, and municipal projects.
- Licensing: PE license in Civil Engineering or SE license in any state (with the ability to obtain in Louisiana and other states).
- Proficient in structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures.
- Demonstrated leadership or management experience, ideally building or managing teams.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a self-motivated and collaborative mindset.
