My client is seeking a skilled and innovative Telecoms Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing telecom infrastructure for a variety of projects, including wireless networks, fiber optic systems, and other telecommunications solutions. The Telecoms Designer will work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver efficient, high-quality designs that meet the specific needs of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed telecom designs for various infrastructure projects, including wireless networks, fiber optic systems, and other telecommunications installations.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements and develop tailored telecom solutions.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create comprehensive design plans, schematics, and layouts.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data and ensure designs are feasible and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including technical specifications, bills of materials, and cost estimates.
- Ensure that all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
- Provide technical support during the implementation phase, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in telecom design.
- Participate in project meetings, providing design input and technical expertise to support successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with the broader project team to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems with other infrastructure components.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in telecom design, with a focus on wireless networks, fiber optic systems, or similar telecom infrastructure.
- Proficiency in telecom design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar.
- Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, including network architecture, RF design, and fiber optic technology.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct site surveys and translate field data into accurate design plans.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to telecom design.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
