Job Summary: Seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to lead a field survey crew in San Antonio. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of survey computations, field operations, and supervisory skills. This role involves managing survey projects, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a field survey crew, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Perform various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, construction staking, and GPS surveys.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, contractors, and property owners.
- Prepare and maintain detailed field notes, records, and reports.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS units, and data collectors.
- Perform survey calculations and adjustments, including traverse closures and area computations.
- Train and evaluate crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying
- Proficiency in using survey equipment and software, including GPS, total stations, and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of survey principles, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
