Job Title: Structural Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA (Fully Remote, must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area)

LVI Associates are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineering with a strong background in structural engineering, who has worked on residential projects. The ideal candidate should possess a robust technical background in residential projects, with a strong emphasis on wood-construction engineering. Experience in seismic retrofitting, foundation design, and sustainable building practices is highly desirable. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural systems for residential, commercial, and other projects.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Perform site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Must be comfortable with wood-construction engineering.
- Must live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
