Summary
A multidisciplinary, full-service engineering solutions provider is looking for a strong junior to mid-level electrical engineer to join a solar engineering team focused on DG scale projects. This role is based out of Wall, NJ and will offer the opportunity to work directly under the Senior Engineer!
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in multiple phases of electrical systems design for photovoltaic projects, including site investigations, CAD production, design documents, specifications, and construction administration.
- Complete assigned design tasks and ensure the quality of work in developing final construction documents from concept designs or Design Development drawings.
- Handle a heavy production load and independently complete key engineering tasks such as electrical distribution design, voltage calculations, and utility coordination.
- Perform detailed design drafting, single-line preparation, PV Syst calculations, and code review using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical engineering focused on photovoltaic systems.
- Proven ability to deliver quality construction documents in both production and design roles, meeting the expectations of senior staff.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and related production software (ETAP, PV Syst), along with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and work independently.
