Position: Project Manager

Salary: $140,000- $175,000 + Bonus(s)

Position Overview: The Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of ODOT transportation projects, ensuring that each project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires in-depth knowledge of ODOT project processes, regulations, and standards, as well as a strong ability to lead a team and manage resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee ODOT transportation projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with contract specifications and regulations.
- Lead project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, and field personnel).
- Prepare and review project proposals, plans, and budgets to ensure alignment with ODOT standards.
- Oversee procurement processes, manage subcontractors, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that projects remain within budget and financial objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and ODOT-specific requirements.
- Handle project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.
- Address and resolve any project-related issues or delays, maintaining project flow and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plan and meets quality standards.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the ODOT team, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on ODOT transportation projects.
- Proven experience managing large infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, and transportation-related construction.
- Experience working directly with ODOT and a thorough understanding of ODOT regulations, processes, and standards.
- Strong background in budgeting, cost management, scheduling, and procurement for public-sector projects.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) certification, preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of ODOT bidding processes, contract management, and project documentation.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and resolve complex project issues effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
