Role Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager who not only brings a strong technical background in water and wastewater projects but also has a knack for business development. In this role, you'll lead a range of complex projects while working closely with our business development team to expand our client base, secure new projects, and build long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage resources, and resolve project issues to drive successful outcomes.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the water and wastewater sector.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.
- Participate in proposal writing, project bidding, and negotiation processes to secure new work.
- Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies, integrating them into project planning and business strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, Chemical or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and environmental compliance.
- Demonstrated business development skills with a focus on building client relationships and securing new projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
