Job Description: As a Senior Stormwater Engineer, you will lead the design, analysis, and implementation of stormwater management systems. You will work on a variety of projects, from urban development to environmental restoration, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions that address the challenges of stormwater management in urban environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of stormwater management systems, including detention and retention facilities, green infrastructure, and drainage systems.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support project design and analysis.
- Prepare technical reports, design plans, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and landscape architects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Participate in public meetings and presentations to communicate project goals and progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in stormwater management, hydrology, and hydraulic design.
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal stormwater regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects from concept to completion.
