About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manhattan, NY. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design process for projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations.
- Develop and oversee HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system designs from concept through construction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, structural engineers, and architects, to integrate mechanical systems effectively.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy efficiency analyses to inform project design.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, supporting their professional growth.
- Participate in client meetings, presenting design concepts and addressing technical inquiries.
- Ensure project completion on schedule and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design within the building services industry.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred or ability to obtain one.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
- Understanding of energy efficiency standards and sustainability practices (e.g., LEED, WELL).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and collaborating with project teams.
