What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborating with project managers to manage schedules, budgets, and project teams to deliver work on time and within scope.
- Guiding projects from initial planning through to final design and bid documents.
- Designing,analyzing, and overseeing projects such as:
- Water and wastewater treatment plants, including upgrades and retrofits.
- Water distribution systems with pumping and storage elements.
- Wastewater collection systems, including lift stations.
- Hydraulic modeling, master planning, and condition assessments.
- Acting as the technical lead on projects and serving as Engineer of Record.
- Working closely with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Mentoring junior engineers and providing feedback on designs, reports, and deliverables.
- Preparing and reviewing technical specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Overseeing construction-related activities to make sure everything runs smoothly.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a related field).
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
- At least 6 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
- Strong communication skills-you'll be working with clients, contractors, and agencies, so clear and professional communication is key.
- Solid technical writing skills for creating reports and documentation.
- A track record of managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules efficiently.
- A problem-solver with great organizational skills who thrives in both team settings and independent work.
