My client is a market leader in the design and supply of water technology solutions, with equipment used in mining, geothermal, and municipal systems. They are currently expanding into providing complete water management systems and are supported by their parent company, a vertically integrated water services provider.
The Sales and Technical Lead will be responsible for building a high level of product line and operational knowledge across all workstreams. This role involves working closely with customers at site and office locations, while also promoting our products to new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align business development with our business strategy to grow existing client relationships and realize new client revenue opportunities.
- Develop a pipeline of opportunities within new and existing clients to support our continued successful growth.
- Enhance our market proposition through client interface and promoting opportunities across the whole business.
- Drive the sales mix to support growth targets, develop the pipeline, and ensure no erosion of existing sales mix.
- Develop practical solutions to clients' water problems by leveraging the abilities within our company and affiliate business units.
- Provide on-site client support when dealing with problems.
Qualifications:
- A technical background in water systems, pumping, water storage with studies in engineering or a mechanical trade.
- Previous sales experience within a technical setting, where you provided end-to-end solutions for clients.
- A strong desire to learn, be innovative, and motivated to take our company to the next level.
- Ability to communicate at different levels within organizations as well as making meaningful connections with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Experience in using the Microsoft Office suite of products, CRM, and ERP systems.
- At least 10 years' experience would be preferable.
- Possess a driver's license, have unrestricted work rights within Australia, and be able to pass a pre-employment medical.
- Willing to travel to client sites throughout Australia, as required.
