LVI have a great opportunity for a qualified Commercial Roofing Operations / Production Manager to join a high-end commercial roofing business based out of West Palm Beach. This client works primarily with mid to high-rise buildings, re-roofing flat roofs on condos, apartment buildings and more. They are looking for an experienced professional to run the operations of their production department following some exciting plans to scale over the next two years.
Job Summary:
As an Operations / Production Manager you will plan, organize, and oversee the operations of this clients production department, ensuring the success of roof replacements on luxury condo / apartments buildings along the coast (Palm Beach & Broward county).
Some Key Responsibilities
- Manage production department P&L
- Set financial targets in a timely manner
- Measure performance, ensuring the department is meeting targets
- Manage schedules
- Manage personnel, from office support teams to foreman teams who will lead installation
- Resolve client issues
- Monitor departments daily activities
- Identify issues and recommend performance solutions / improvements
- Oversee project completion through coordination with all project team members (PM, Superintendent, Estimator, Foreman)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the Commercial Roofing market
- Technical knowledge of TPO, EPDM and PVC systems and various methods of attachment and Manufacturer warranty requirement
- Experience managing large scale re-roofing projects ($1m+)
- Ability to supervise and lead teams to meet quality and production goals
- Interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to work on a team and take corrective action when necessary
- Skilled in identifying problems and developing solutions in order to accomplish work in a timely manner
- Highly competent oral and written communication skills to convey information effectively to employees, contractors and customers
- Capacity to calculate and control labor projections, material storage, and material needs * Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Capable to train and supervise direct employees, crews and subcontractors as needed
- Competency to organize, plan, and execute work assignments
- Ability to read takeoffs, drawings and other job details
- Knowledge of how install roofing and construction materials
