Summary
A fortune 1000 compnay is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer (Solar/Renewables) to lead the planning, engineering, and implementation of renewable energy projects. This role involves managing project execution, overseeing construction and commissioning, and supporting operational standards and maintenance for clean energy assets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction projects ranging from 2 MW to 150 MW, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion, and managing on-site personnel.
- Lead negotiations and documentation for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreements.
- Manage technical and project management teams throughout the execution of solar, wind, and CHP projects.
- Supervise commissioning processes, including test plan development, permitting, and interconnection.
- Address landowner concerns, coordinate O&M outages, and ensure compliance with project standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- 7-10 years of experience managing engineering and construction teams in renewable energy.
- Strong background in solar and energy project implementations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, effective communication skills, and ability to travel 25%-35%.
