Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a background in electrical engineering to lead and manage solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to coordinate with vendors and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from conception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee the entire life cycle of solar energy projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Technical Expertise: Utilize your electrical engineering background to address technical requirements, resolve issues, and ensure that all project specifications are met.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors and EPC companies to secure favorable terms and manage contractual obligations.
Vendor and EPC Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between our company and external partners. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure project success.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with a young and energetic team to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Support team development and growth.
Future Opportunities: Prepare for involvement in upcoming projects related to battery storage and onshore wind energy. Adapt to evolving project scopes and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Experience: Proven experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, preferably solar energy.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and technical requirements for solar energy projects.
Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and EPC companies.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to discuss complex technical requirements with various stakeholders.
Adaptability: Willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
