Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. Our company specializes in providing innovative environmental consulting and geotechnical engineering solutions that add value to projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering and a proven track record of managing complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects, including site selection, foundation design, retaining structures, pavements, shoring, site earthwork, site mitigation, and utility installation.
- Conduct site investigations, soil and rock sampling, and geotechnical analysis.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and provide recommendations for project improvements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, architects, and construction managers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and business development activities.
- Oversee construction observation and testing to ensure project specifications are met.
- Utilize aerial photogrammetric surveying and 3-D modeling techniques for project analysis and design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical software and tools (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, AutoCAD).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
