Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct building envelope assessments, including roofs, façades, waterproofing, and insulation systems.
- Develop and review designs for building envelope systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and building codes.
- Perform modeling of envelope assemblies using different softwares.
- Perform forensic investigations to identify and address issues such as water intrusion, material failures, and thermal inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the design and construction phases.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, project specifications, and provide recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Conduct site observations during construction and post-construction phases to ensure proper installation and performance.
Role Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor of Architecture in Building Science/Building Enclosures/Historic Preservation, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.
- P.Eng Licensure Required. An RRO, RRC, or RWC is advantageous.
- Minimum 11+ years of expertise in the design, evaluation, and assessment of building envelope systems.
- Experience in building envelope design, maintenance, and retrofit and the integrated design and delivery of high-performance buildings.
- Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AUTOCAD, REVIT, Rhino, Grasshopper)
- The ability to deliver top-notch customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
