A developer/investor/operator in the renewables space is looking to hire a Manager of Project Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for aiding in the transition from development engineering to construction hand-off for complex utility-scale projects related to renewable energy and green hydrogen. On the day-to-day, you will assess technology, support contract negotiation with equipment manufacturers and engineering firms, prepare budgets, and managing costs/schedules.
Please note: This position has an opening in San Diego or may be completed remotely.
Manager of Project Engineering Responsibilities
- Assessing project sites, conducting transmission grid studies, and offering interconnection assistance, in addition to evaluating wind and solar resources.
- Engaging in conceptual product and systems engineering to integrate diverse energy systems. Crafting plans and specifications for facilities, offering environmental permitting support, and coordinating infrastructure interfaces.
- Contributing to project finance models
- Calculating levelized cost of energy (LCOE)
- Aid in the development of tools, models, specifications, and processes to enhance plant performance and reliability.
Manager of Project Engineering Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Possess 3 to 5 years of engineering experience, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Demonstrate adeptness in managing multiple assignments under time constraints.
- Exhibit qualities of a solutions-oriented team player, proficient in effective collaboration within diverse teams.
- Showcase excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Display strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrate robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work independently with regular guidance.
