Lead Electrical Program - Data Centers (Mission Critical)
Location: Fully Remote | Compensation: $180,000-$225,000
My client, a premier engineering consulting firm committed to impact, innovation, and inclusivity, is seeking an Electrical Program Manager with expertise in mission-critical facilities. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge data center projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on designs that power the future.
Responsibilities
- Lead Design Efforts: Manage and execute electrical designs for mission-critical facilities, including data centers ranging from small to hyperscale.
- Engineering Excellence: Design complex electrical systems such as substations, HV/LV switchgear, MCCs, single-line diagrams, grounding, lighting, and UPS systems.
- Client Collaboration: Build and maintain strong client relationships, interpreting specifications and ensuring exceptional project delivery.
- Project Management: Oversee scope, budget, schedule, quality, and deliverables while coordinating with internal and external teams.
- Quality Assurance: Provide QA/QC for design packages to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and constructability.
- Strategic Development: Assist in recruitment, develop design standards, and contribute to marketing strategies to attract new clients and opportunities.
- Mentorship: Support junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering with a focus on mission-critical facilities.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- Advanced expertise in power network studies (arc flash, load flow, short circuit, etc.), backup power systems, and NEC Codes.
- Proficiency in software tools: SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, REVIT, AutoCAD, MS Office, and Bluebeam.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and client-facing skills.
- PMP certification is a plus.
