Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Energy Simulation Specialist (HKLS) to join our Berlin team. In this role, you will support our TGA planning projects with advanced energy simulation and analysis for HVAC (Heating, Cooling, and Ventilation) systems and building energy simulation. Your expertise will be critical in driving sustainable design strategies and optimizing system performance to meet environmental and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-Energy Modeling & Analysis: Perform detailed energy simulations for HVAC systems and building energy performance using industry-standard software (e.g., TRNSYS, EnergyPlus, or similar).
-Building Energy Simulation: Evaluate building energy efficiency and overall performance, considering envelope design, thermal loads, and renewable energy integration.
-Data Interpretation: Analyze simulation results to identify opportunities for energy optimization, cost savings, and system performance enhancements.
-Collaboration: Work closely with MEP planners, architects, and project teams to integrate energy-efficient design principles into projects.
-Sustainability Compliance: Ensure that all energy simulation activities comply with German and EU sustainability standards, such as DGNB or LEED.
-Report Generation: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing energy performance, optimization strategies, and compliance findings.
-Research & Development: Stay updated on advancements in energy simulation technologies and industry best practices to enhance internal capabilities.
Qualifications:
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field with a focus on building systems.
-Proficiency in energy simulation software (e.g., TRNSYS, EnergyPlus, IDA ICE, or similar).
-Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building energy simulation, and principles of thermal dynamics, fluid mechanics, and energy efficiency.
Experience:
-Fluent in German
-5 years of relevant experience in energy simulation, building energy simulation, or HVAC system planning within the construction or TGA sector.
-Familiarity with sustainability certifications like DGNB, LEED, or BREEAM is a plus.
