Title: Electrical Designer/Engineer II
Location: Tampa or Orlando, Florida (for qualifying applications - remote is an option)
Summary
The Electrical Engineer/Designer will leverage their expertise to design electrical systems that align with project visions. A solid grasp of the consulting engineering process and related contractual documents is essential.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope and use software to design electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, emergency generation, fire alarm, security, etc.).
- Create cost-effective layouts, ensure code compliance, and prepare BIM drawings.
- Coordinate with other disciplines throughout all project phases.
- Perform construction administration tasks, including site observations and punch list preparation.
- Manage project scope and maintain client satisfaction.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, partners, and other professionals.
- Mentor less experienced engineers/designers.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering management and design, especially in commercial buildings.
- 2+ years of experience with multi-discipline engineering teams.
- PE or EIT license preferred.
- Familiarity with various project delivery methods.
- Knowledge of local, state, and national codes.
- Proficiency in Revit
- Strong technical/computer skills, including Microsoft O365.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to prepare specifications and project manuals.
