Overview:
LVI Associates are seeking an experienced Scheduler to join our clients team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing various aspects of project scheduling and claims analysis within the construction industry. Your responsibilities will include developing schedules, analyzing risks, and conducting forensic analysis of claims. You will work closely with clients, providing support and expertise in schedule management and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed schedules using Critical Path Methodology (CPM), incorporating resource and cost loading as needed, following industry best practices and company standards.
- Oversee and manage multiple intricate project schedules, including regular tracking and status updates.
- Assist clients in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating schedule-related risks.
- Conduct schedule evaluations, including critical path reviews, schedule content analysis, relationship and lag usage, constraints and milestones assessment, constructability reviews, and general industry-based assessments.
- Perform forensic analysis of construction claims, including document review and organization, key issue identification, schedule analysis, labor productivity studies, general conditions calculations, pricing, and preparation of graphic exhibits for expert reports.
- Analyze construction project cost reports, labor distribution reports, and other project accounting data.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Over 5 years of practical scheduling experience in the construction sector.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) in government contracts.
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of the Critical Path Method as it applies to construction projects.
- Ability to comprehend and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) across all design levels, project types, and trade disciplines.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Deltek Cobra is advantageous.
- Knowledge of schedule delay principles and techniques.
- Preference for candidates with field experience in construction.
- AACEI and PMI certifications are desirable.
