CLIENT:
We are working with a leading industrial & commercial general contractor specialising in the design and construction of medium-large-scale industrial, commercial and hospitality projects.
My client is seeking experienced Safety Professionals/Safety Specialists to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience and background of working on large industrial and commercial projects, between $20M - $60M.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver services according to project scope and ensure a compliant, productive, and efficient construction safety environment.
- Ensure all contractors meet the company's minimum safety and environmental standards.
- Coordinate daily safety activities, supporting operations and construction teams.
- Contribute to establishing a structured health and safety ownership and accountability program by standardising and clearly communicating safety regulations.
- Assist in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal EPA/OSHA regulations, as well as international regulations.
- Generate and perform risk assessments and implement control measures.
- Drive continuous improvement through safety analyses, audits, and investigations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office-based programs are required.
- Effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
- Ability to effectively interact & communicate with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a construction setting is preferred
- Ability to demonstrate mature judgement in planning, organising, and guiding construction safety programs
- OSHA 30 Qualified, CHST is a plus
