Project Manager - Land Development
Salary: $120,000-145,000
Summary
One of Southern California's top private land development civil firms is seeking a senior engineer with experience in residential (200 acre+), affordable multifamily, commercial high-rise/infill, and/or solar site design. With support from their LA-area HQ. Their teams provide an excellent platform to work on the same high-scale projects as the major national firms in the area with the flexibility and care of a 50-person local team whose leadership is invested in the growth and development of each of their members.
The Project Manager will:
- Manage the scope, schedule, and budget of individual projects, ensuring tasks and deliverables are completed on time.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and client teams, overseeing construction, procurement, invoice preparation, and project documentation.
- Perform conceptual and preliminary engineering design studies, considering land use, zoning, site constraints, infrastructure requirements, and regulatory issues.
- Prepare and process regulatory and public improvement plans for both private and public projects.
- Conduct constructability reviews to evaluate design feasibility before construction.
- Provide construction support services, including project management, quality control, and contractor coordination.
The Project Manager should have…
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
- PE License in California (or plan to receive within 6 months of employment)
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Have a working knowledge of client and industry standards related to design and construction, and negotiate solutions to client concerns or project overages.
- Fluency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
